The Immersive Education Initiative is a non-profit international collaboration of universities, colleges, research institutes, K-12 schools (primary, middle, and secondary schools), consortia and companies that are working together to define and develop open standards, best practices, platforms, and communities of support for virtual reality and game-based learning and training systems. Thousands of faculty, researchers, staff, administrators and students are members of the Immersive Education Initiative.
Membership is
free and open to the global academic community but restricted to organizations and individuals that either A) have experience using immersive learning technologies, or B) plan to utilize immersive learning technologies for the purpose of education (as opposed to commerce) in the immediate future.
Please note that your membership application may take up to 48 hours to process. Your application may take longer to process, or be rejected, if you do not provide your academic credentials.

After your membership is approved you'll receive periodic email notifications and invitations from the Immersive Education Initiative that will enable to you participate in a variety of events, community groups, discussion forums, technology working groups, and many other members-only activities and resources.
