We would like to thank you for attending the 2nd European Immersive Education Summit held at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (EnsAD) from 26th to 27th November 2012 in Paris, France. The event hosted many interesting presentations and demos and it developed a very good atmosphere for discussion and networking, bringing together many people for two days.

The two-day event is open to the global academic community and experts in immersion, simulation, learning games, virtual reality and full, augmented and mixed reality. The theme for this summit is Immersive Education: combining creativity, art and pedagogy.

Registration for the 2nd European Immersive Education Summit - Paris 2012 is now open until November 27. We suggest to reserve your iED Europe Summit 2012 seats in advance. There is on-site registration but it will close automatically when all available seats have been reserved. Remember that there is no online component for iED Europe Summit 2012.

Immersive Education Europe announced that Chris Fowler, Professor in the School of Education at the University of the West Indies, will be keynote at the 2nd European Immersive Education (iED) Summit on November this year.
Biography
Prof. Chris Fowler, amongst other things, is responsible for the development and implementation of the Blended Learning Policy at the University of the West Indies. His first degree and doctorate are in Psychology. Before joining UWI in Oct 2010, he was Professor and Coordinator for Research & Evaluation at the Institute of Distance Education, University of Swaziland.
Immersive Education Europe announced that Max Moswitzer, viennese artist, will pay tribute to Chris Marker, a famous french film director who passed away recently.
During this tribute, Max Moswitzer will show L’Ouvroir, a virtual museum where Chris Marker exhibits a series of photographs, film clips, video installations and other do-it-yourself multimedia.
L’Ouvroir was created in 2008 by Chris Marker (aka Sergei Murasaki or Guillaume-en-Egypte, his cat avatar, in SL) and Max Moswitzer (aka MosMax Hax) for the exhibition Chris Marker: A Farewell to Movies at the Museum of Design in Zurich.

Biography
Before assuming duties as the Assistant Director General of Communication and Information of UNESCO, Ambassador Karklinš served as the Latvian Ambassador to France, Andorra, Monaco and UNESCO. He was as well the Permanent Representative of Latvia to the United Nations in Geneva.
